My journey in medicine began with a simple desire: to provide the highest level of care to my patients, treating them as if they were family. I've always valued personal respect, autonomy, and integrity, and believe in extending compassion and professional excellence to everyone I treat.

However, over the years, I realized that the traditional healthcare system often struggled to provide the level of personalized care and attention that I believe patients deserve. I envisioned a practice where the doctor-patient relationship could truly flourish, free from the constraints of rushed appointments, long waiting room waits and burdensome insurance complexities. This desire to create a more patient-centered and accessible model of care inspired me to found Florida Direct Primary Care in St. Augustine, FL.

At Florida DPC, we've redefined healthcare by providing concierge medicine at an affordable price, prioritizing meaningful connections with patient-centered care, direct access to your primary care doctor and unhurried appointments.

I chose to specialize in Internal Medicine, Sports Medicine, and Obesity Medicine because these fields allow me to address a wide range of health needs, from chronic disease management to sports injuries and weight loss. My passion lies in helping you achieve optimal health and well-being, so you can live your life to the fullest.

    • Following his Internal Medicine residency and tenure as Chief Resident in 2016, Dr. Wilson completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Bayfront Health in St. Petersburg, Florida.

    • He then served as an attending physician at several hospitals in California and Hawaii before ultimately settling in St. Augustine.

    • For the past five years, Dr. Wilson has dedicated his expertise to treating medically complex patients at Flagler Hospital.

    • His commitment to comprehensive care led him to pursue specialized training in Obesity Medicine through Columbia and Cornell University, and he is Board Certified through the American Board of Obesity Medicine.

    • Triple Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Sports Medicine and Obesity Medicine

    • Dr. Wilson was born and raised in Sarasota, Florida.

    • He studied in Newcastle, England for his 1st year of medical school as part of the SGU Global Scholars Program before traveling to Grenada, West Indies for his second year. He returned to the US to complete his 3rd and 4th year rotations in hospitals and clinics in Florida, New York, California and Michigan.

    • He met his wife during residency in Santa Barbara, California and prior to relocating permanently to St. Augustine, they lived in Hawaii for 2 years. They have now resided in St. Augustine, FL since 2019 with their son, daughter, and 2 dogs.

    • In his free time, Dr. Wilson enjoys spending time with his family, exercising, reading Karin Slaughter series and kiteboarding.

Our St. Augustine primary care practice serves patients throughout St. Johns County, including St. Augustine, St. Augustine Beach, Nocatee, Ponte Vedra, Anastasia Island, Vilano Beach, World Golf Village, and nearby Palm Coast.
